SeaWorld’s “Electric Ocean” shows feature booming noises and frenzied lights and—obviously—have nothing to do with animals’ natural behavior or needs. To the orcas, bottlenose dolphins, and other echolocating animals trapped in SeaWorld’s tiny tanks, thundering fireworks and pounding dance music must sound like an all-out war. The “Electric Ocean” shows are nothing more than a heartless grab for ticket sales, and PETA urges everyone to stay away from SeaWorld until the company stops harassing animals and sends them to seaside sanctuaries where they can live a more natural and peaceful life.

Stay Away From SeaWorld Parks All Year Long

Even when explosions aren’t happening above their tanks, orcas held at SeaWorld are denied everything that’s natural and important to them. Grinding their teeth down, attacking one another, and lashing out in frustration at their human trainers, these animals are obviously suffering physically and psychologically.

The company’s latest financial results show that park visitors are still staying away, a strong sign that public sentiment has turned against keeping highly intelligent marine mammals in tiny tanks. Compassionate people are rightly concerned about the health and well-being of the animals imprisoned at SeaWorld, and a DJ blasting party music certainly won’t change their minds.

You can make your voice heard now. Tell your friends and family to skip SeaWorld’s “Electric Ocean” shows, and urge SeaWorld to stop exploiting animals and send them to coastal sanctuaries.
